Working Groups and
Special Interest Groups may produce informational documents. These are
documents that the Working Groups or Special Interest Groups feel are relevant
to the members of the IDPF and that it wants to recommend to the members for
review. These may include white papers, commentaries, or other relevant
documents. The documents are informational only and do not have any official
status within the IDPF.
Working Draft specifications do not have official status within the IDPF.
Official status is governed by the IDPF output process as described by the
organization's policies and procedures and requires
intellectual property, Board of Director and membership review with a final
membership vote for approval. Working Groups, however, often release draft
specifications as informational documents both to get public feedback on
upcoming proposals as well as to alert IDPF members that proposed specifications
are forthcoming for their review.
Any comments, questions or
suggestions on any of the informational documents can be directed to the
IDPF. They will be forwarded to the
appropriate contacts in IDPF Working Groups or SIGs.The following documents have been released as
