Dear IDPF Members,
I submit my
nomination for election to the IDPF Board of Directors.
Over the past 10 years, I have worked across a variety of
technologies, which have in common their role in revolutionizing key
sectors of the media business. Book publishers are now at the
threshold of the type of sea change that these other media sectors
have encountered. As publishers develop and deliver our next
generation of products, the opportunity is unprecedented for EPUB to
be the cornerstone for a whole host of publishing solutions designed
for and fully utilizing the capabilities of digital media.
LibreDigital has been honored to work with leading publishers as
they optimize, manage and market digital content. We have been an
early and active supporter of industry standards to provide a
web-based warehouse and distribution platform for six of the top ten
book publishers and over 175 newspapers and periodicals.
LibreDigital serves the world’s top firms in over 120 countries
including HarperCollins Publishers, Hachette Book Group, Scholastic,
Kaplan and Simon & Schuster. LibreDigital partners with a number of
industry leaders, including Baker & Taylor, Barnes & Noble and SONY,
to provide a full range of solutions that depend on the EPUB
standard. LibreDigital is based in Austin, Texas, with offices in
New York City and the United Kingdom.
